On February 20, 2007, Nicole pleaded not guilty to charges of driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol when she was seen driving the wrong way on a Los Angeles freeway in December 2006. Nicole did not appear in court, but entered her plea through her lawyer.

 

In February 2007, Mischa Barton crashed Nicole’s car. After dropping Nicole off at a tanning salon, Mischa bumped Nicole’s car into another. Mischa exchanged insurance details with the couple in the other car, before quickly moving on.

 

Nicole was arrested on December 11, 2006 for a DUI, after driving the wrong way down a motorway. She was arrested in Burbank, which is just ten miles from Los Angeles. She failed a field sobriety test and was taken into custody, after admitting she had smoked marijuana and taken Vicodin. Back in 2002, Nicole pleaded no contest to a drink driving charge after recording blood-alcohol levels of 0.12 and 0.13. Under mandatory sentencing laws in California, anyone convicted of DUI twice must serve five days in jail. 

 

In 2006, Nicole was named the Worst Dressed Celeb by PETA.

 

In October 2006, Nicole & Paris Hilton ended their bitter feud and became friends again.

 

In October 2006, Nicole & Paris Hilton agreed to make a fifth series of their reality TV show The Simple Life.
