read comments (0)Kate Beckinsale was born on July 26th 1973 in London, England. Her parents were both professional British television actors. Growing up in that environment, Kate took on to the business quite easily. She made her acting debut on the television drama, One Against the Wind and then decided to go back to school to get more experience under her belt.
She majored in French and Russian Literature, thinking that learning more languages would only expand her abilities. Beckinsale eventually starred in more television roles and was finally able to add a Hollywood movie credit to her resume. She was cast for a role on the critically acclaimed film, Pearl Harbor.
Kate was able to do what she loved the most and in no time she was taking the leading roles for future films. She has taken on many diversity roles anywhere from comedy to action-adventure. Beckinsale has true talent and wants the best for her family. She has a little girl, Lily Mo Sheen and is married to director, Len Wiseman, but keeps her personal life out of the media.
