Gwen Stefani was born on October 3rd 1969 in Fullerton, California. Her father, Dennis and mother, Patti Flynn had three other children, Eric, Jill and Todd. Growing up, Gwen was very close to Eric, they both were interested in starting a rock band together. No Doubt was formed and Gwen sang backup vocals until, unfortunately the lead singer, John Spence committed suicide.
From there, Gwen took over lead vocals and started secretly dating one of the band members, Tony Kanal. The couple dated for eight years before finally splitting up after the band found out. No Doubt became very popular and sold over fifteen million copies worldwide. During this same time, Gwen met Gavin Rossdale, who was the lead singer in the rock band, Bush.
The couple eventually married in 2002 and found themselves traveling back and forth from their home in London to their home in Anaheim, California in order to be able to spend time with one another. Around the same time, No Doubt released a reggae album, which declined in sales.
Stefani a couple years later decided to start recording a solo album and eventually released the Love Angel Music Baby album. This album had a little bit of dance, pop, R&B and hip hop influence in each track. The album’s singles sold million of copies and became the hottest singles on the radio.
