Britney Spears was born on December 2nd, 1981 in Kentwood, Louisiana.  When Britney was 12, she had auditioned for the Mickey Mouse Club, but because of her age, they thought she was too young.  One of the producers at the audition saw potential in Britney and gave her the information for an agent in New York City.

Britney moved to New York City, got in touch with the agent and began to attend the Professional Performing Arts School Center, where she spent three consecutive summers.  She also performed in a number of off-Broadway shows until she would return to star on the Mickey Mouse Club with other future famous singers, Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera and J.C Chasez.    

From here, Britney would star on the show for two years, before the show would run its last and final season.  She was destined to be a singer and when Jeff Fenster from Jive Records heard Britney’s Demo he though so too.  Eric Foster White and Britney began recording in Jive Records studio right away.  Before they knew it, Britney released her debut single, Baby One More Time and from there, there was no turning back.

Her single was the hottest song on the radio.  Since then she has recorded over a hundred songs and has received several Grammy’s for her outstanding performances.  She has sold over 31 million albums worldwide.
