Angelina Jolie Voight was born on June 4th 1975 in Los Angeles, California. Her father, Jon Voight was an Academy Award winner and her mother, Marcheline Bertrand was an actress, but also focused on modeling. Her parents separated when she was an infant and her mother continued to raise her from the moment on.
Jolie would move from town to town with her brother by her side. With her parents already familiar with the acting business, Jolie was able to get right into professional modeling. Her modeling agency, had her modeling all over the world. She got to live in London, Los Angeles before settling in New York, where she began training and performing as a student at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute.
From there, she would go to New York University and start acting in theatre productions. She soon took on small film roles, after appearing in a few music videos. Once she had received a Golden Globe for her performance in the television film, George Wallace she would get the recognition and respect that she truly deserved.
Angelina’s roles became more high profile and she was starring in movie films such as, Playing by Heart with several famous actors. Then she would win another award and this time it would be an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in Girl, Interrupted.
