Not only did Batman bring in over $158 million dollars in ticket sales over the weekend, the movie also broke almost every record known and brought the “Dark Knight” actor, Christian Bale violence and assault charges brought forth by his own family. Reported this morning, Christian was arrested in London for verbally assaulting his own mother and sister at his nearby hotel suite.
The Batman star was in town for the London premiere of the “Dark Knight and met up with his family sometime over the weekend.” Apparently from the supposed actions that took place, Bale does not have a good relationship with his family and according to local reports, Christian has been estranged from his family for years. The news also stated that bale’s wife has something to do with the rocky relationship he shares with his family.
Fortunately, for Christian, he was released on bail from the police station later this morning and denied all allegations after being questioned by London police for nearly 4 hours. However, Bale must return to the police station sometime in September for further questioning. Spokesperson for the Batman star, Jennifer Allen released these statements: “Christian Bale attended a London police station today, on a voluntary basis, in order to assist with an allegation that had been made against him to the police by his mother and sister.”
As you may already know, Christian Bale attended the red carpet London premiere with co-stars, Michael Caine and Maggie Gyllenhaal Monday night. The media is speculating that the confrontation took place Sunday night, but was reported after the movie premiere.
As for the ticket sales, not only have they had a boost because everyone wants to see the late actor, Heath Ledger play the role of Joker. Now their will be even more publicity because of this new incident with Batman.
